Elevate Kids Leader Covenant

At Elevate City we are a Jesus Church radically pursing the fulfillment of the great commission in our day! Leading in Elevate Kids means carrying the weight of that mission into every room, every moment, and every interaction. This covenant is a declaration that you're choosing to live life Jesus' way and do the Jesus stuff inside and outside of the church building, to lead from overflow, and to reflect the culture of our house with integrity, joy, and spiritual authority. As a leader, your life should be marked by holiness - not perfection, but a posture of repentance and a commitment to live above reproach. It’s about putting Jesus over everything, protecting the hearts of the now generation, and helping raise everyday disciple-makers. Take time to read this prayerfully - it matters, because kids are watching and following your lead.

I affirm:

I have given my life to Jesus as my Lord and Savior and am currently walking in relationship with Him. (Colossians 2:6)

I am consistently attending a worship gatherings at Elevate City Church, have completed Basecamp (or am in process), and I will strive to attend all training meetings for volunteers. (Hebrews 10:25)

I agree to champion unity in the church and will not teach or practice anything that violates Elevate City’s Statement of Belief or Core Doctrines (Ephesians 4:1-3)

This includes Elevate City's biblical view of marriage, gender, and sexuality. Additionally, you agree to demonstrate respect, loyalty, patience, courtesy, and maturity with leadership. https://www.elevatecc.church/beliefs

I will treat children and students of all races, religions, and cultures with respect and consideration. (Luke 6:31)

I agree to abide by Elevate City's NowGen Protection Policies and Procedures at all times

I will not possess or use illegal drugs at any time. I will not possess or use drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or tobacco products in the context of any ministry related activities. (1 Peter 5:8)

I agree to seek counsel of my ministry leader if I experience struggles which may have an impact on the ministry. (James 5:16)

I aim to elevate the name of Jesus in all I say and do. I commit to model Christ-likeness in all my behavior, especially as I serve in NowGen Ministry and am aware the children and students are watching me and my lifestyle. (1 Corinthians 10:31)

Because I’m committed to modeling Christ-likeness, I understand I cannot serve in Elevate Kids if I’m engaging in things like living with a boyfriend or girlfriend before marriage, sex outside of marriage, a same-sex relationship, underage drinking, illegal activities, inappropriate social media use, or if I’m not regularly attending Elevate City services. If any of these apply, I’ll pause serving and have a conversation with a pastor or staff member.

I understand that my social media accounts are an extension of who I am and commit to having them reflect a lifestyle that elevates the name of Jesus.

I commit to serving within Elevate City’s Family Ministry for a minimum of one year.
